Red Flags to Watch for in Interviews

Not every promising resume translates into a successful hire. During interviews, subtle warning signs can reveal deeper issues that might impact performance later.

  1. Vague or Inconsistent Answers

    Top candidates articulate clearly. Dodging questions or offering unclear stories can signal lack of experience or ownership.

  2. Speaking Poorly of Past Employers

    How someone frames their past says a lot about professionalism. Negativity often carries forward.

  3. Overconfidence Without Evidence

    Confidence is good — but when achievements aren’t backed with specifics, it may point to exaggeration.
